Extra Help for Limited Income Individuals
You may be able to get Extra Help to pay for your prescription drug premiums and costs. You can read more about qualification read more about qualification. To see if you qualify for getting Extra Help, call:
- 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). TTY users should call 1-877-486-2048, 24 hours a day/7days a week);
- The Social Security Office at 1-800-772-1213 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. TTY users should call 1-800-325-0778; or
- Your State Medicaid Office.
If you do qualify for prescription drug assistance, your Medicare Prescription Drug Plan costs, your premium and what you pay at the pharmacy may be less. Once you are enrolled in Community CCRxSM, Medicare will tell us how much assistance you are receiving, and we will send you information on the amount that you will pay.
Remember: If you qualify for prescription drug assistance, you still need to enroll in a plan with Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage, such as Community CCRx, to receive your prescription drug coverage.

A financial assistance program from Medicare where your eligibility is determined by the Social Security Administration. If you qualify, Social Security will enroll you in the program. The amount of assistance you receive will depend on your financial situation and income.
